How nice of you ma. I won't let her take all the fall though because i also took eternity to proofread and get it published. But hey! It's out and I hope you enjoy it..
This interview conducted by yours truly, Micheal Irabor, gives us an insight of Gertrude Preye a fast rising actress and professional costumier.

A brief introduction about yourself.
1.My name is Gertrude Preye Augustine,I’m a movie producer, actor and costume designer. I’m the CEO of oyako Celine media (oyc).

How did acting all start for you and at what point did you decide to take it up as a profession?
It started in church, I was 13,professionally I started in 2010 when I played the role of Jennifer in a movie titled  "SUMMER CAMP" ,a bright wonder film.

Tell us about your first acting  attempt, any
embarrassing moments?
Lol yes ooo when the director said I’m too dark for a particular role.

What's life as an actor and costumier like and how do you juggle both fields?
life as an actor is not easy especially if you are not yet known ,you keep going for auditions, looking for the next job and so on,but as a costume designer I don’t really struggle with that;my last job always speaks for me,and it is not easy to do both.
What are the basic challenges you face as an actress  and also as a costumier?
Upcoming you mean lol ðŸ˜‚ .my location, most of the calls I get, comes from outside Abuja and the producers often says "The budget is small, we can only pay you for acting, no plans for your transportation" . And as a costume designer, the producer always wants something good but some are not ready to pay. So in a nutshell, i will say money has been the challenge.

As an actress, how long does it take you to fit into a character?
After getting the script and I’m sure I’m playing the role of the designated character, i dive straight into being the character.

As a costumier, what are the things you put into consideration before styling characters on a movie set?
I will consider the script first, the kind of story that's being told, i will make sure my style and colours properly interprets the story. Basically, i actually consider the story before anything or any person.

How many movies have you featured in so far?  Kindly list them.
Quite a handful. To name a few:-Summer camp,my faith,Kira ,the cord, fidelity ,long walk to nothing,if I am President and some others.

I’m a work in progress

What are you presently working on?
