I draw my energy from you all...

When this journey started, only be few people thought we would come close to the finishing line as we have most manifestly today. 

A lot of people felt we were joking; a lot sniggered behind our backs , indeed a supporter of another aspirant who is close to me said he would sell two houses to sustain and install that aspirant, I kept quiet and was watching him. 

I knew that this journey is not out of ego; or need to prove a point with anything or to settle personal scores as it is for some people. 

For me it simply is a journey to restore the pristine identity of our people and above all to live by the Principle of simple justice. 

I cannot obviously defend or rationalise that since 2014 till date we have not had just one stakeholder meeting across the state not to talk of a rally, or any medium to engage our people and use that medium to infuse life into our party. Yet we have people who are eminently positioned to do so.

Is it not true that our party and people are in quandary looking forward to a more vibrant and effective opposition that will challenge the government of the day beyond empty struts on Facebook and on newspapers. 

One time at a meeting unsaid plainly that it's time to get our party's energy level back to the days of 2007 and that elders of our party should please rise up and speak truth to powers that be. I implored. 

I joined this race and have been enormously blessed by and of God in the pursuit of this aspiration because my heart and purpose is right with God , I had moved round the local governments , met with groups, had life touching and future impacting empowerment events for 2050 homes that we did not knock their doors to get into their homes and change the lives of their sons and daughters permanently in just four years from today. 

Over these 18 months I have met with youth leaders who have occupied that position for over 10 years with nothing absolutely to show for it,  I have had meetings  women leaders and chairmen whose years of service to the party for years has been a recount of woes than joys, and today all the Excos are faced with misery as the future seem so beclouded and uncertain. Yes that is the pervading picture.

But in the midst of all these, we came into the race with hope and assurance that having being one of them, with shared values and history and humbly speaking with my reputation they have found a compatriot in me cemented  by the pains of adversity we once went through. 

It's heartwarming that a journey that started 18 months ago as an aspiration  had secured so much of buy in from all , I am totally overwhelmed by the support that this campaign have received. I am totally overwhelmed. 

Today as i look back at how far we have  come , I am left no choice than to devote this post to #recognise, #aknowledge and #appreciate  all men and women , boys and girls of good faith and conscience who have turned that simple and humble start to a great movement today. 

We certainly have surpassed the expectations and confused all those who never thought we would have come this far.

I want to use this day to salute every one person who had stepped forward to be counted in this struggle to restore the pristine  identity of our people. 

All of the young men going out daily, pushing our message , I recognise most warmly all the great guys and leaders and leaders who have kept digging in , spreading the word and bringing the sheaves in .

As we get close to these last days of our push to restore hope to our disillusioned partymen and women  whose voices have not gone pass their wards that we have chosen to take to the state and even federal level. 

Today I celebrate you all for your commitment and for keeping your eyes on the ball. 

Let me assure you that I derive and draw a lot of energy from you and your untiring commitment to the vision we mutually share. 

I celebrate you all today and plead that you do not let up. Lets keep pushing the frontiers.

The work is not done yet. 

We are closer than we started, the finishing line is just ahead. I assure you we can and we will. 

Lets us stretch  ourselves a little bit more . 

Be encouraged  that we are not losing this struggle Which is what our campaign has become.

Our Future as a people as a party and state is dependent on what we do with this election. 

We are saving our lives, we are saving our future. 

Together  we win. Let us go for it . Now.

Be renewed . Be revived. It's worth it , we all have a stake.
