What to know about Hon Bimbo Daramola;

Abimbola Oluwafemi Daramola   born 9/11/­1967 is a Nigerian Scientist and was a forner member  of the House of Representatives , representin­g Ekiti North Federal Constituency1,  Ekiti State Nigeria between 2011-2015.

 Early Life:

 Bimbo Daramola was born in Ado-Ekiti to the family of Chief Francis Adebayo Daramola, a former Chairman (Mayor) of Oye Local government Area (when Oye LG was under Ondo State, out of which Ekiti state was created in 1996 by the military Government of Nigeria then headed by late Gen.Sani Abacha). His mother's name was Joan Taiwo Daramola (late), a retired Secondary School Principal. 

EDUCATION:  

Bimbo started his formal education at Emmanuel Anglican Primary School Ado-Ekiti and St Joseph Primary School, Aramoko-Ekiti­ in 1973.

 He had his Secondary School Education at Christ's School Ado-Ekiti, which was founded by Archdeacon Henry Dallimore. He had a year stint at Ado Grammar school where he had to rewrite his West African Senior School Certificate Examination  (WAEC).  

He then proceeded  to study Geology in 1984 at the then Ondo state University  (OSUA) Ado-Ekiti, later surnamed University of Ado-Ekiti and now Ekiti State University (Eksu). 

He graduated in 1989 and was thereafter posted to Kaduna State, where he participated in the 1 year Mandatory National youths service corps (NYSC) at Water Surveys  Nig LTD. 

After his NYSC, He went for his master's degree in Business Admin. at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State in 1995. 

WORKING EXPERIENCE:  

Water Surveys Nig. Limited offered Bimbo Daramola a permanent employment after he completed his NYSC  in Kaduna, but He resigned from Water Surveys Nig. Limited in 1993 and took up an appointment with Savannah Bank. After Savannah Bank.  Bimbo co-founded Rucie communication and became the Deputy Managing Director. The company produced a documentary titled: 

 "From Prison to Presidency", which chronicled the life, times and works of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Bimbo Daramola is the CEO of the Bridge Concepts Nig. Limited, the company compiled and published Jamb Questions and Answers, A publication of Jamb Past Questions and answers between 1983-2004. 

The Logo for the 18th Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting 2003, CHOGM Abuja, which was held on 5th - 8th December 2003, was designed by the Bridge Concepts.

He initiated and is promoting the first ever discount card system in Nigeria that takes  care of the youths economy, with special focus on the Nigeria students/Youths corps members christened 'Naija Green Card'.

POLITICS:  

In the year 1998, Bimbo met with a team of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign. The Co-ordinator of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who was contesting for the governorship seat of Lagos state under the platform of Alliance for Democracy(AD) to canvas the use of Mobile Billboards to the campaign team.

The same also yet-to-be elected. President Olusegun Obasanjo who was the Presidential aspirant of PDP. The team accepted his proposal."By association" he became a member of PDP. In 2011. he was nominated by CAN to contest for House of Representatives, Ekiti North 1, which he won. 

LEGISLATIVE  ACTIVITIES: 

 lding of the  Ultra Modern 38 bed hospital he fully equiped, renovated and refurbished some health centres in his constituency, psid off the hospital bills of many people, even people outside his constituency!

WATER------Hon. Bimbo Daramola provided portable water supply to many towns, countless numbers of boreholes were also constructed by him in all the towns and villages of his constituency.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES/ EMPOWERMENT----Many people were given jobs,  some are now  in the Nigerian Airforce, Civil defence, Army, Police etc.

Thousands of people were given money for business, some collected Motorcycles, Tricycles, barbing clippers, grinding machines and even motor cars not to talk of generators, laptops, hair dressing equipments, freezers and cash!

ELECTRIFICATION----Congressman installed solar street lights in major and minor towns in his constituency, time will not permit to mention more.

His Sterling performance earned him  an award as the Most outstanding Nigeria Legislators in the year 2013.
