Meet Peace Great Iyayiose,  an Abuja based Actress.

Tell us about yourself:
My name is peace Great Iyayiose, was born on the 9th of October to an Edo state parents, am the 4th of 6 children, I have a Bsc in Business Administration & National Diploma in Mass Communication.

What is your definition of a good role interpreter?
A good role interpreter is a person who takes a role, understand it and act it back to his or her viewers in a professional and believable way. Possible to the understanding of his or her viewers.

 How did acting all start for yours?
First of all my love was for journalism, until one day my mum stumbled on an advert of an audition here in Abuja in 2010, she literary dragged me there, I saw a lots of well known, faces, and it was nerve wrecking for me because I had never acted before or even thought about it, so I stood up to leave, and the director
called me to come for my audition, I walked in there with zero confidence, but very honest attitude and it was clear for the director to see that, that was my very first time. I remember him telling me, I see it in you, you can do it, and all you need is to believe in yourself. So I was given a script. And I put in my best, to my
greatest surprise the Judges were very impressed. And two weeks later I got a call that I was selected to play the lead character. And from that moment on my phone has not stopped ringing for roles.

When did you discover you had role interpretation skills?
It was when I acted a movie called ‘Away from home’ where I played three characters. One as myself, two as an angel and three, as a demon. The view and positive response I got from my fans and my colleques was massive and overwhelming, from then I knew I could interpret any character giving to me.

 What were the challenges you faced while getting a name in the movie industry and how where you able to scale through?
Then it was hard to find a Director or a producer who was willing to give you roles based on your talent or abilities alone, but I stood my ground, and I would only work based on , honesty, transparency, and professionalism, and it’s been working for me. Secondly, it was also difficult to find directors that will shoot and have it aired, So I was in so many movies and productions , but just a few where promoted or released.

How many movies have you done so far?
I have been in twenty five movies and above, and I played major roles in 15.

Share of the achievements acting has brought your way.
Am humbled and honored to be seen as positive influence and a role models to upcoming actors and actresses, acting has also provided me the opportunity to provide opportunities to other aspiring actors to fulfill their dreams, and I have been called on severally to be part of the “Abuja Youth Empowerment Programmme”. NGO’s that provides for the motherless babies. And even superstars that want to give back to the society and need guardians on how to go about it. And for that I am grateful.

What is the thing acting is yet to do for you?
Acting is yet to give me the power and voice to speak for the people that cannot speak for themselves, to give me the power to be able to fight for the youth, less privileged, here in Nigeria and entire Africa

What are your plans for the Nigeria movie Industry?
My plan is to see Nollywood well received and honored all over the world. To be a part of the actors & Actresses who are working tirelessly for the positive change of Nollywood itself.

Internationally  Cameroon a Diaz, Angelina Jolie, Halle barry, Gabriel Union

If you are given fortune what would you spend it on?
Start up a movie Company, an institution to professionally train actors & actresses. Create platforms for Hollywood & Nollywood to Merge.

If you were given an opportunity to have a one night stand with a Nigerian celebrity who would it be?
I don’t do one night stands.

 What are your greatest assets?
My talent, my humility, and my willingness to succeed

What are you presently working on? 
Am working on my short films at the moment and creating awareness for the peace great movie talent showcase, where I will put up together talented actors. Actress, D.O.P, script writers e.t.c.
