SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY ACTING & FILM-MAKING AT HD FILM ACADEMY
The producers of the movie BROKEN and DIARY OF THE TRIPLETS, High Definition Film Studios has been saddled with the task of raising and grooming a new generation of movie stars and film-makers that will raise the bar a notch higher in the Nigeria film industry, Nollywood through its yearly Acting & Film-making Training Workshop, Short Film Competition and Awards tagged, #Script2Screen which is schedued for August 1 through 29, 2015 in Abuja, Nigeria.
Script 2 Screen film-making, training and awards project is a three-in-one creative initiative scheme designed to equip persons desirous of pursuing a career in film-making with an opportunity and the requisite skills plus the technical know-how for them to be able to make their own film.
A 4-week extensively rigorous schedule of classroom lectures and hands-on practical training where the students will be guided step by step in the production of their own short films of which their final project will be screened during the last day of the project.
Now, don't you dare think that it is an uphill task, because, it was done in 2013 and 2014 to a resounding success at the Silverbird Entertainment Cinemas, Abuja, and this time around in 2015, the stakes are even higher.
The project is scheduled to hold from August 1, through to 29, 2015 at #HighDefinitionFilmAcademyhead office in Gwarinpa and will climax with an evening of movie screening/premiere of its final students short film with an awards ceremony at the Silverbird Cinemas to commend, cheer and congratulate outstanding students who have distinguished themselves during the project.
The courses in this year’s script to screen training includes; Acting, Script-writing, Directing, Cinematography, Editing, Photography and 3D Animation.
Raising the bar higher this year has been necessitated and majority of the awards to be carted away by the students is endowed with prices., stated below:
*BEST FILMMAKER wins a "BRAND NEW CANON 60D CINEMA CAMERA", "1 YEAR FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP" to HD Film Academy plus "A ROLE AS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR" in two block buster movies by HD Film Studios.
**BEST ACTOR wins a "ROLE TO STAR IN 2 BLOCKBUSTER MOVIES" by HD Film Studios, "N100,000 IN CONTRACT", plus "1 YEAR FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP" to HD Film Academy.
***BEST CHILD ACTOR wins "A ROLE TO STAR IN 2 BLOCKBUSTER MOVIES" by HD Film Studios, "N50,000 IN CONTRACT", plus "1 YEAR FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP" to HD Film Academy.
