Scarlet Shotade
Fast rising Actress,  musician, and ex beauty queen Scarlet Gbemisola Shotade , is one incredible role interpreter who is doing reasonably well in the Nigerian movie industry. She started barely a year ago and so far has broken new grounds  than most people who have been there before her.  She is one tall gorgeous lookomg, and fearless young lady. In an interview with Micheal Irabor  of kinggs Blog,  she shared some of her aspirations, and how much fun it has been for her being a role interpreter.

Tell us about your self
I am scarlet Shotade, and an actor, a Musician,  and an ex beauty queen.

How do you mix acting and singing without having a clash?
Trust me it isn't easy.  If I say it's an easy task,  I would be lying. But I believe  if you have passion for something,  you would certainly make out time for it.

How did your career in the movie industry all start,  what lead you into role interpretation?

As funny as it sounds,  it started last year  August (2014). I went for the Tinsel audition,  and afterwards started working with African magic. Since then I have been doing other role interpretation jobs.

How has your journey in the movie industry been so far,  any challenges?

Well I haven't come across any challenges yet,  I have just been enjoying doing it.  Because I try to put on different characters every now and then,  I try to be what am not.  It's been interesting,  and I don't find it challenging at all.

How many movies have you featured in so far?
That I can count,  I would say thirteen.

Which of this movies was most challenging fitting into the character given to you?

That would be 'Scarlet'  the one I did with African magic. I think it was challenging because I had to switch from one character to another. Switching from a poor house maid,  to a rich man's wife,  and back to being poor.  Having to switch between two lives was quite challenging.  And also 'Casino'  it is a series under micro media,  it isn't out yet, I would say fitting into the character in that series was also challenging.  I had to play the role of someone with a split personality.

What don't you like about being a role interpreter?
The only thing I don't like about it Is that,  people tend to judge you by the roles you play,  they feel that's who you really are?.  Asides from that, I enjoy every other thing about it. I enjoy the attention,  and I certainly enjoy the money.  I enjoy doing what I do.

Share with us some of your aspirations.
I want to be good at what I do,  I want to be that spectacular actress that everyone can look up to and say she is good,  I want to be a method actor,  and yes,  I just want to be the best at what I do

How extreme can you go in interpreting a role?

I don't think there's a  role I can't play. I can't be randy,  as in Randy Randy! To an extent. I use to be a model,  and we use to do bikini photo shoots. I  have done pageants where i had to wear only bikini(s) in front of the whole world. So I don't think doing that in a movie would be difficult for me.
.
Even acting completely  nude?
Complete nude,  if the pay is right why not? After all am only doing my job.

Do your parent support you being an actress?
Ofcourse.  A hundred percent. I was born into the industry actually. My dad Tokunbo Shotade use to be a sound engineer. He use to produce songs for the likes of King Sunny Ade, Sunny Nnaji and some others. . My adopted father,  is also in the industry. He is like a brother to my dad,  his name is Sunday Are, he manages Wizkid at the moment.  So I have also been surrounded by people in the entertainment industry.

What would you spend a fortune on if given?

Comfort. If I had a fortune,  I would make sure I spend it on making my self comfortable.  I don't have to walk under the sun,  I would have the right car,  and the right house,  I can eat the right food,  I am happy,  I can go wherever I want to go,  and to say I fall ill,  I can take care of my self
