Recently MICHEAL IRABOR of kinggs blog, had a brief chat with the organizer of the upcoming event (Miss Tourism Delta state), Joy Gloria. And she gave us glimpse of what to expect from her event.

 Can we meet you.
My names are Joy Gloria Osusu Maywekpomare,a young entrepreneur from DELTA. First born from a family of five, a graduate of Uni/ilorin, political science and a Christian. The CEO of Links and Glitz Concept,publisher of Links & Glitz Magazine, Host of fashion diaries TV series, a fashion series showing on Realstar TV on startimes, channel 122.

Tell us a little about this your anticipated event.
Miss Tourism delta is a franchise gotten from my friend (Santiago Roberts ) the organizer of Miss Tourism Nigeria. Is a  creative beauty/talent competition searching to discover future national personalities, brand ambassadors, businesswomen and supermodels.

What's the idea behind it?
Its aimed at empowering young women and promoting development in Delta state  through Tourism.

How long have you been nurturing the plan for this event?

 Early this year
What inspired the whole idea?

God has always been my inspiration. And he also inspired this idea.

What do you stand to achieve from this event?
Social relevance to my state and the Joy of helping and promoting young ladies

What should we be expecting to see on the day of the event, and when
is it coming up?
True display of Beauty, brain and cultural heritage. And it is coming up on the 19^th of December, at Lawfab Hotel & Suites ,Osubi Delta State.

Is this the first time it is holding in Nigeria?

For the state level, Yes but national No.

What has been the challenges so far in putting everything in place for
this event?

Sponsorship, participation of models and funds

Tell us, what do the contestant stand to benefit from this pageant,
and how many contestants are participating?

We have 16contestants and the winner gets an official car, Get to represent Delta at the Miss Tourism Nigeria Pageant in Lagos 2015. The winner also gets a Modeling Contracts/Endorsements, A year's image branding, A month facial Treatment, A Year Wardrobe Allowance and lots more.

After this event, what next?

We are  into alot of things, so we are  never short of what to do ranging from magazine publication(Links & Glitz Magazine ) our TV show called fashion diaries, our new soap, etc.....but we are planning another pageant in delta of Which will be unveiled during Miss Tourism delta grand finale.
